Grilled mussels  flavoured with Pastis


Pastis is an anise-flavoured spirit and apéritif from France, can be substituted by Ouzo

Rinse well the mussels

Prepare a marinade with :

    • 2 crushed garlic
    • 3 Tbsp of olive oil
    • 2 Tbsp of Pastis
    • 1 Tbsp of fresh parsley
    • 1 sprig of thyme
    • 2 Tbsp of diced red pepper bell
    • Salt and pepper



Cook  hot and fast them in a large pan or a wok
Discard the first water of the mussels
Remove the mussels from the wok
Add the marinade and cook it until the olive oil is hot
Add the mussels and stir well

Serve with French fries and beer
